Born and raised in Wilson, North Carolina, Ms. Whitlock graduated from NC State University, where she played tennis for the Wolfpack. She attended the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia, where she was awarded the Dean's Cup for outstanding public service. While in law school, Ms. Whitlock served on the Judiciary Committee of the Student Body Association. Additionally, she was a teaching assistant for Katrina Law, a class focusing on the government's role in national disasters and legal duties to provide relief. Ms. Whitlock completed over 800 hours of pro bono legal services during her third year of law school under the direct supervision of an admitted attorney/professor wherein she represented indigent individuals in the District of Columbia.

Following law school, Ms. Whitlock went to work at a personal injury firm in Virginia where she developed a lasting passion for the practice. Ms. Whitlock then worked for a personal injury firm in Washington, DC before founding Roeser & Whitlock, LLP. In 2017, Ms. Whitlock founded Whitlock Law, LLC where she continues to represent injured individuals. Ms. Whitlock is an active litigator having litigated in the District and Circuit Courts of both Virginia and Maryland. She is admitted to practice in the State Courts as well as the Federal Courts of these two states. Ms. Whitlock focuses her practice on auto, tractor-trailer, and motorcycle accidents, but she also litigates police brutality and premises liability actions.

Ms. Whitlock is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Maryland Association for Justice. She is a past Secretary of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, Loudon County Chapter, and served as a legal volunteer in New Orleans, LA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In her free time, Ms. Whitlock enjoys camping, reading, and attending sporting events. She currently resides in Montgomery County, Maryland.
