Senior Litigation Paralegal – Maryland

Mrs. Ellis obtained her associate’s degree in paralegal studies in 1995, including a certification program approved by the American Bar Association. In 1994, she began working as a paralegal for a general practice firm, handling personal injury, criminal defense, and workers’ compensation cases. In 2000, she went to work for a firm that focused on real estate foreclosures. In 2002, Ms. Ellis obtained her title license and began working for a firm focusing on real estate law. In 2005, she began working at a firm that handled banking transactions, including loan settlements.

In 2007, Ms. Ellis found a passion in personal injury law. She worked for approximately seven years at the firm of Murtha, Psoria, and Miller, focusing specifically on the area of medical malpractice. In 2014, she joined the firm of Saiontz & Kirk, where she worked as a paralegal handling automobile accident litigation and medical malpractice.

In 2019, Ms. Ellis decided to take her years of knowledge and start her own paralegal consulting/contracting business, where she performed remote work for dozens of personal injury attorneys throughout the state of Maryland. Whitlock Law was lucky enough to work with Ms. Ellis through her consulting/contract paralegal business from 2021 to 2023. In 2024, Whitlock Law hired Ms. Ellis as the firm’s Senior Litigation Paralegal. Ms. Ellis works on hundreds of litigation matters each year in both district and circuit courts throughout the state of Maryland.

Ms. Ellis resides in Joppa, Maryland with her husband Chris, two daughters, and three adorable dogs.
