Liza Sharpe

Conflict Resolution Specialist

In 2018, Ms. Sharpe retired from her career as a Social Worker with Child and Family Services. During her career as a social worker, she handled thousands of cases involving abuse and neglect, and she was often the initial investigator for such complaints. She holds a Master’s degree from East Carolina University. Liza also happens to be the mother of Managing Partner Morgan Whitlock and Senior Litigation Paralegal Mary Liza Starling.

Following retirement, and especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Sharpe began answering phones and handling complicated issues for clients related to medical treatment, property damage claims, and general difficulties they faced. She works tirelessly to make sure clients feel respected and heard, and she keeps the team focused on fighting for the best outcome possible for clients. With years of experience as a social worker, she brings valuable knowledge, helping other staff members understand how to communicate effectively. This can be especially important for personal injury clients who are dealing with setbacks in their day-to-day life. Ms. Sharpe is always willing to step in and do whatever the firm needs.

When she is not working at Whitlock Law, Ms. Sharpe enjoys spending time at Topsail Beach, NC, where she lived for many years before having children. She also loves her “two boys” – cats Lookout and Captain. Ms. Sharpe works remotely from Wilson, NC.
