In 2013, Mary Liza obtained her bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communication at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduating, Mary Liza was interested in seeking employment in the legal field, which brought her to Washington, DC. She started her legal career as a legal assistant at Roeser and Whitlock in 2014. While working at Roeser and Whitlock, Mary Liza was able to gain knowledge of all aspects of the personal injury process. She learned how to effectively communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel.

In 2017, Mary Liza started to work for Whitlock Law, where she continued to grow in her career. She started as a case manager and quickly began learning about the litigation process. Mary Liza enjoys exercising her brain, and at Whitlock Law, there is always something to learn. She has worked at a personal injury firm for over 10 years. As a result, she has a great understanding of the difficulties that clients experience in these situations. She is passionate about making a positive impact on others.

Mary Liza resides in Washington, DC with her two dogs, Jagger and Lincoln. Both dogs stand in as Whitlock Law’s mascots. They mimic her personality and bring joy to everyone in the office at Whitlock Law. Outside of work, Mary Liza enjoys live music with a crispy beer in her hand, attending book club with her friends, karaoke, sports, and going to the beach with her family in the summer.
