Mercedes Santana

Insurance Claims Assistant

Ms. Santana graduated from Paint Branch High School in Montgomery County, Maryland in 2017. During high school, she played multiple sports while working various part-time jobs. From 2015 to 2018, she worked at a retirement home in Montgomery County, where she was a front desk host and server of meals to the patients. Following graduation, she spent two years working as a cashier at local restaurants and grocery stores.

In 2022, she was hired as a receptionist at Whitlock Law after the firm’s team was impressed with her gregarious personality and desire to expand her professional knowledge. In 2023, she began undergoing training to set up claims and communicate with insurance adjusters. Since the beginning of 2024, Ms. Santana has established over 1,500 insurance claims for the firm’s clients. She is responsible for all initial claims communications and confirming that letters of representation are received by adjusters.

Ms. Santana has recently found her true passion, and she hopes to become a residential architect. She plans to enroll part-time in college during the Spring 2025 semester.
