Ms. Ortiz was born and raised in Washington, DC. She is fluent in Spanish and English. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Montgomery College, where she attended from 2009 to 2011. Unfortunately, her mother became very ill, and she dropped out to help care for her and her younger brother while her father worked to keep the family afloat. In 2016, Ms. Ortiz went to work at the Law Offices of Paul Samakow, where she was hired as a case manager and medical records specialist. She continued working there until 2022 when she was referred to Whitlock Law by a friend/colleague.

During her interview with Ms. Whitlock, it was clear that Ms. Ortiz’s calm personality and patience would be a perfect fit for handling initial client intakes. Ms. Ortiz currently conducts between 75 and 100 intakes per month. She confirms that contracts are signed and clients are assigned to an appropriate case manager or litigation paralegal.

Ms. Ortiz manages to have the best decorations in her office for all holidays, and she is in charge of employee birthday decorations. She spends her time away from the firm with her younger brother and her fur baby, Simba.
